We understand that circumstances can change.

Clients wishing to cancel a booking should notify Tapestry Moments as soon as possible, preferably in writing.

Cancellation charges, where applicable, will be fair and proportionate, taking into account work already completed, reasonable costs incurred and any direct losses resulting from the cancellation that cannot reasonably be avoided.

Deposits and advance payments will be taken into account when calculating any amount payable or refundable.

No client will automatically forfeit all payments simply because a booking is cancelled.

Any applicable statutory cancellation rights will take precedence over these contractual arrangements.

10. Statutory Cancellation Rights

Where a client enters into a contract at a distance or away from business premises, statutory cancellation rights may apply.

For qualifying service contracts, the normal cancellation period is 14 days beginning the day after the contract is entered into.

Where the client wishes Tapestry Moments to begin providing services during that period, we will request their express agreement to begin early.

If the client subsequently exercises a statutory cancellation right after expressly requesting that work begin, a proportionate charge may be payable for services already provided, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Where services have been fully performed during the cancellation period, the statutory cancellation right may be lost if the required request and acknowledgement were obtained beforehand.

Clients will receive the relevant cancellation information and instructions as part of their booking documentation.

Nothing in these terms restricts statutory consumer rights.

We recognise that funeral arrangements are often made at short notice and may involve unexpected changes.

Where a funeral is cancelled or postponed, we will work sensitively with the family or funeral director to establish appropriate arrangements.

If a client wishes to postpone a ceremony, Tapestry Moments will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the revised date.

If Tapestry Moments is unavailable on the revised date, the client may cancel the original booking, subject to the applicable cancellation provisions and consumer rights.

In the unlikely event that Patricia Taylor-Shipley is unable to conduct a ceremony because of illness, an emergency or circumstances beyond reasonable control, Tapestry Moments will notify the client or relevant funeral director as soon as reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, we will make reasonable efforts to help identify a suitable alternative celebrant.

Any replacement celebrant will be subject to the client's agreement.

If Tapestry Moments cannot provide the contracted service, any refund due will be calculated in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the booking.

Nothing in these terms excludes any legal remedy available to the client.

Clients are responsible for arranging and confirming their chosen venue unless otherwise agreed.

Tapestry Moments is not responsible for the actions or omissions of independent venues, funeral directors, photographers, musicians or other third-party providers.
