Funeral & Celebration of Life Ceremonies

A Farewell as Unique as the Life Lived

Saying goodbye to someone who has been part of your life is never easy.

At a time when there is so much to think about, finding the right words to honour someone you love can feel overwhelming.

I'm here to help you create a farewell that reflects the person they truly were — their personality, their relationships, their laughter, their achievements and all those little moments that made them unique.

Whether you are planning a traditional funeral, a celebration of life or something a little different, I will take the time to listen to your memories, understand your wishes and create a ceremony that feels personal, meaningful and right for you.

Because a funeral should be more than a goodbye.

It should be a reflection of a life that mattered.

Every Life Has a Story Worth Telling

Behind every life is a collection of stories, memories and moments that make a person uniquely themselves.

Sometimes it's the big achievements we remember. But often, it's the little things that mean the most.

A familiar saying. A favourite song. A wonderful sense of humour. A kindness that was never forgotten.

These are the threads that make up the tapestry of a life.

When we meet, I'll take the time to listen to your memories and learn about the person you wish to honour.

Together, we'll explore the stories, relationships and experiences that made them who they were.

I'll then carefully weave those memories into a personal tribute that captures not only the events of their life, but something of their personality and spirit.

My hope is that, as you listen to the ceremony, you'll recognise the person you knew — and perhaps find yourself smiling at a memory you hadn't thought about for years.

A Ceremony That Reflects Your Wishes

Every family is different, and so are their beliefs, traditions and wishes.

Some families find comfort in familiar prayers and religious readings. Others prefer a non-religious ceremony centred entirely around memories, music and personal tributes.

And sometimes, a combination of both feels just right.

As an independent celebrant, I can help you create a ceremony that reflects what matters most to you and the person you are remembering.

Your ceremony might include favourite music, meaningful poetry, personal stories, moments of quiet reflection or contributions from family and friends.

There is no single way to say goodbye.

What matters is creating a farewell that feels genuine, respectful and personal.

Your memories. Your wishes. A ceremony that feels right for you.

How We Work Together

1. Our First Conversation

We'll begin with a friendly, informal conversation, either by telephone or in person.

This is an opportunity for you to tell me a little about your loved one, discuss your wishes and ask any questions you may have.

2. Sharing Their Story

We'll arrange a time to talk in more detail about the person we're remembering.

I'll listen to your memories, learn about their life and personality, and explore the stories and moments that made them special.

There's no need to prepare a perfect account of their life. We'll discover the important details together.

3. Creating Your Ceremony

Using everything you've shared, I'll carefully write a personal ceremony that reflects your loved one's life and your family's wishes.

We'll discuss music, readings, poetry and any contributions you would like family members or friends to make.

You'll have the opportunity to review the ceremony wording before the day, so you can feel confident that it reflects the person you wish to honour.

4. On the Day

On the day of the funeral, I'll conduct the ceremony with warmth, dignity and care.

My aim is to create a calm and supportive atmosphere where family and friends can come together to remember, reflect and say goodbye in a way that feels meaningful.

You don't have to find all the right words. That's what I'm here to help you do.
